Stipes, Plats and Red Lips

This breezy, retro look is one my favorites for this summer - these vintage shorts have been my saviors through every style block Iv'e had before heading out; I got them a while back at a vintage shop in Raleigh that is unfortunately no longer in business (cool stores closing is my very least favorite thing). Stripes fall under my list of "neutral" patterns (along with plaid, leopard print, and most florals) which made this outfit super easy to accessorize.

An off shoulder crop can be found pretty much anywhere, with places like American Apparel and even H&M stocking 'em. Mine is from The Art of Style in Raleigh- if you're in the area, they have a black version too, and you should definitely check them out. It always looks cool and can even be taken into warmer weather with some high-waisted mom jeans and booties. The neckline makes it super flattering for the shoulders as well.

For this one I loaded up on rings (per usual) which gave tones of sliver and teal, and of course doubled up my chocker with this stone chord necklace, an effortless combination that mirrors a wrap necklace but with an edgier vibe. Both pieces are from Rumors in Chapel Hill (i'll be writing about them soon) and were under $20.

In addition, I think EVERYONE should own some black plats for summer, even if its to get you through these last few weeks. They match everythingMine are Love culture, but they haven't proven to be very durable (unsurprisingly), so I'll link to some better ones below.

I've topped off the look with some dark lipstick some beige-toned aviators which have been my absolute favorite lately.
